Getting To Know You | Phone Consultation

The first step is a phone consultation. This allows both of us to gauge if we are a good fit to work together. Because every families photography needs are different, making sure that your wishes are fulfilled is top priority. The first phone call will be all about getting to know you and your family. What are you looking for in a photographer? What are you hopes and dreams when it comes to your session? My wish is to fulfill all your photography needs!

What you can expect from me during this call.

  • I will listen more than talk. This is about you, not me (well a little me).
  • 100% transparency with you is of utmost importance.
  • We will talk briefly about the investment, but it won’t be the purpose of our call.
  • It will be an easy conversation, not a sales pitch. I know I’m not for everyone and I’m not going to try to please the masses.

Let’s Meet Up | An In-Person Consultation

Once we have established that we are destined to work together, we will schedule an in-person consultation. This is something that most photographers don’t do, but it is essential.

In this consultation, we will discuss several things.

  • We will talk artwork placement and sizing.
  • We will create an action plan for your session; from outfits and hair to style and location.
  • I will answer any questions you may have
  • I will collect the package fee that most fits your needs, you will sign the general liability contract, and we will set the date. It will take between 30 minutes to an hour.

Your Photography Session

Yay! It’s session day! During the session, we will meet at the location chosen during the in-person consultation. We will do both posed and more natural shots so I can ensure I give you lots of beautiful options from which to choose. If you have any must haves for the session (poses, props, etc.) we will discuss that at the in person consultation and incorporate them as we can.

The Ordering Session

Once your portrait session is complete, your images will be edited and the very best 20 to 30 images will be chosen. I will create a beautiful slide show for you to watch of all the wonderful memories we captured from your session. Don’t be surprised if you get a little emotional. Most do. You will be presented with many options; from single images to collages. We will also discuss framing options. At the end, I will take payment for your choices and place your order. The whole ordering session will take about an hour or less. All art is chosen and purchased at the time of the ordering session and all purchases are final.

Pick Up Time

Turn around time is between 6 to 12 weeks after your ordering session. This time excludes framing. I work with a local framing company to give my clients high quality, acid-free matting, and archival quality glass. This will ensure that all of your artwork by M Baylor Imagery will be around for years to come. Once the framing is complete, you will have the option to pick it up from my studio, or I can bring it to your home.
